About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. The CNA will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our senior participants, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a caring demeanor, and a passion for working with older adults.

Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
• Minimum of two years working with seniors preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with dressing, toileting, and eating.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for participants.
• Maintain accurate and timely care for all participants.
• Assist participants during meals and recognize which participants need help.
• Assist participants with toileting as needed.
• Encourage and engage participants in activities and interactions.
• Communicate with caregivers as needed.
• Demonstrate safe handling techniques appropriate to the environment and individual.
• Transport participants safely to and from activities and upon arrival and dismissal.
• Perform all other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Conduct regular health assessments and screenings.
• Monitor participants' vital signs and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate staff and family members.
• Foster a supportive and nurturing environment for participants.
• Inform families and managers of changes to participants' needs.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Assist Managers with maintaining and updating participant medical forms.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and coordination.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with all associates, vendors, etc.
