About The Position

As a Senior Debt Advisory and Structured Finance Underwriting Analyst at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in managing GSE financing processes for high-profile real estate transactions. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure successful loan approvals and closings, while also analyzing and underwriting complex transactions in the multifamily and senior housing sectors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 2-7 years of relevant GSE underwriting experience.
• Highly advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Reader, PowerPoint, and Internet search engines.
• Detailed knowledge of GSE underwriting practices and credit risk analysis.
• Experience in Multifamily is required; experience in Senior Housing is preferable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet realistic deadlines.
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines and ability to underwrite various transaction types.

Responsibilities

• Assist the transaction lead in managing GSE financing processes from quote to closing.
• Prepare and submit GSE financing requests and coordinate third-party reports and site visits.
• Prepare back-end models and credit narratives, and manage due diligence for closing.
• Collaborate with team members, clients, loan closers, legal counsel, and third-party groups.
• Analyze and underwrite GSE eligible transactions with varying loan structures and borrower organizations.
• Review and synthesize creditworthiness of borrowers and deal participants through financial analysis.
• Evaluate property operations and performance trends regarding occupancy, net income, and debt service coverage.
• Review third-party reports for compliance with GSE requirements.
• Perform site inspections to assess market competitiveness and economic feasibility of collateral.
• Handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Train or mentor junior staff in agency transactions.
• Assist with underwriting non-GSE eligible transactions as needed.
