Senior Database Developer
About The Position
E-Logic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Developer to supporting Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)'s TruData cloud data platform from (US) Department of Transportation (DOT) . This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data solutions using AWS native data services , supporting data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Design and develop cloud data warehouse solutions using Amazon Redshift Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Lake Formation, and Data Pipeline Integrate multi-source, high-volume datasets into a unified data platform Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries for performance and scalability Support data quality, validation, and analytics initiatives Collaborate with QA, security, and architecture teams Document technical designs, data flows, and solutions Support compliance, monitoring, and audit activities Important Notice : This role is part of a proposal for the (US) Department of Transportation (DOT) . Hiring is contingent upon the selection of the consultant . Selected candidates will be included in the proposal and must authorize the use of their resume for submission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 7+ years of database development experience
- Strong expertise with Amazon Redshift and cloud data warehouses
- Advanced SQL development and optimization skills
- Experience working with complex, large-scale datasets
Nice To Haves
- AWS Advanced or Premier Tier Certification (Redshift specialization preferred)
- Experience with DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis, and AWS Data Exchange
- Prior experience supporting federal IT environments
