About The Position

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about their craft and designing clean solutions to help our financial professional users make intelligent decisions. The Prime Brokerage Team, within Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT), is seeking 'Software Engineer' to join the team to help build and maintain high quality product and solutions to enable custody business. This role will involve partner & stakeholder engagement, design, release support and production support. In this role, you will be an integral part of the prime brokerage team where you'll get the opportunity to develop your skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams and continue to learn in a fun, collaborative, iterative, and rapidly changing environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
• Strong RDBMS skills including SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, user privileges, and object privileges.
• Experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.
• Knowledge of ETL processes to load large volumes of data.
• Experience in a Linux environment and basic Unix commands.
• Experience working in Agile methodology.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and design skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
• Good communication skills with both technology and business partners.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Core Java and Python.
• Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M.
• AWS Cloud experience.
• Experience in database modeling.
• 5+ years working in the financial industry.
• Understanding of glossaries and terminologies in the financial industry.
