What you’ll do: This position requires database administration skills along with strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include administering multiple Microsoft SQL Server databases including Azure SQL managed instance administration, management of SQL object migration utilizing the development, test, and production lifecycle, management of file transfers between internal and external entities, creating and scheduling of automated jobs. This position is responsible for: Database administration: Installation, refreshes, performance tuning, backups and recoveries Assist in monitoring database performance, identifying issues, and implementing solutions Server lease rolls and database upgrades for all environments. Configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the scheduled jobs at database and server level. Security configurations, data encryptions, file transfers with other systems and assistance with any other systems administration related tasks. Document database configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps Code migrations from one environment to another. Daily production support and work with developers for researching, troubleshooting/fixing with any issues. Data upload and ad-hoc programs/reports to pull data as per request. Running all monthly, quarterly and annual processes that are not automated via application and need to be run from database/server level. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
