About The Position

As a Senior Data Scientist, You Will Apply machine learning, econometrics, and operations research to optimize HVACR system performance and energy consumption Discover and deliver on opportunities to improve processes in our enterprise through data analytics and automation Develop customer-focused solutions that address global resource and efficiency challenges Work on an array of problem types, including optimization, forecasting, statistical analysis, control theory, and LLM’s Establish and maintain collaboration with other internal teams to apply cloud and edge-computing capabilities for production and proprietary algorithms Develop a deep understanding of the HVACR and cold chain industries to ensure technical solutions align with business goals Adapt advanced techniques from peer-reviewed journals and conferences into practical, scalable solutions for real-world engineering challenges

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic / Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or other relevant degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in data wrangling and modeling in Python or similar language
  • Proficient in verifying raw data integrity through automation and exploratory data analysis (EDA) techniques
  • Proficient in robust statistics, hypothesis testing, experimental design
  • Ability to work virtually with a global team
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into actionable analytics and data science tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Interdisciplinary background, combining data science expertise with a solid grounding in traditional engineering fields such as Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced Degree in Analytics / Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence / Mathematics, Statistics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic / Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
  • Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration related thermodynamics, system operation and system control logic
  • Experience in applying signal processing (time and frequency domain) for feature engineering
  • Experience in applying optimal control theory and reinforcement learning (RL)
  • Proven experience as the technical lead for project(s) or research or acted as a change agent for transformation initiatives
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile sprints
  • Ability and interest in translating highly sophisticated and abstract concepts to internal and external team members with minimum analytics knowledge
