About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver actionable insights and scalable models that drive value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods, data modeling, and algorithm development.
  • Proven ability to deploy production-ready models and monitor performance over time.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for ML models.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their data science services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions on GCP to solve business problems.
  • Design, develop and deploy agentic models in GCP.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Build predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive models using tools like TensorFlow, BigQuery ML, AutoML, and Vertex AI.
  • Evaluate model performance and optimize for accuracy, scalability, and interpretability.
  • Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Vertex AI to build end-to-end data science workflows.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines in collaboration with data engineers using GCP-native tools.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, cost-efficient, and aligned with best practices for cloud-based data science.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate them into data science solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences through clear visualizations, storytelling, and presentations.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with team members to promote knowledge sharing and innovation.
