As a Senior Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work with many of the nation’s leading healthcare providers in utilizing their financial, operational, and clinical data to drive their mission of providing world-class care while improving financial health. Your work will bring new insights to the healthcare industry. You will apply data mining techniques and statistical analysis to healthcare and financial data across our customer base, process, cleanse and verify the integrity of data used for analysis and modeling, and become an expert in our data. You will conduct ad hoc analyses that support thought leadership and identify opportunities to extend our data assets with third-party sources of information when needed. Additionally, you will develop, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and maintain models and algorithms that automate manual processes, enrich our existing data assets, produce deep insights, and yield new data products. Collaboration with data engineering, software development, and product management will be key to translating business problems into data science solutions that can be integrated into StrataJazz, our “Best in KLAS” enterprise SaaS solution. You will also communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations, documentation, and presentations to drive decision making. Contributing to a culture of collaboration, learning, technical excellence, and continuous improvement by sharing your knowledge, skills, and ideas with others is also expected.

  • Apply data mining techniques and statistical analysis to healthcare and financial data.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis and modeling.
  • Become an expert in our data and conduct ad hoc analyses.
  • Develop, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and maintain models and algorithms.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, software development, and product management.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings effectively.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • 4-6 years of experience in data science roles, preferably within the healthcare or financial services sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in computational programming languages such as Python.
  • Proficiency using command line, scripting, and environment management tools.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to explore, cleanse, and analyze messy data.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and applied statistical modeling.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques, models, algorithms, and frameworks.
  • Expertise in time series modeling and forecasting is a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate strategic questions into tactical work plans.
  • Experience working with big data and cloud data warehousing technologies like Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and frameworks like dbt.
  • Experience building analytical and data science products within a SaaS framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the healthcare or financial services sectors.
