Senior Data Scientist, Trust & Safety

About The Position

As our first Trust & Safety Data Scientist, you'll build the systems that keep Suno healthy and authentic as we scale. Using statistical and machine learning techniques, you'll detect and prevent platform abuse — from financial fraud to manipulation of content popularity and trends. You'll develop frameworks that protect our community while ensuring genuine creators can thrive, working autonomously to stay ahead of evolving threats and build scalable solutions from the ground up.

Requirements

5+ years experience in data science roles, ideally with trust & safety, fraud detection, or platform integrity experience
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
Experience building predictive models and detection systems for abuse or fraud
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work autonomously and adapt to evolving threats
Excellent communication skills and experience working across product, engineering, and operations teams
A self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in ambiguity, eagerness to wear multiple hats, and passion for continuous learning

Experience at a consumer platform or marketplace dealing with abuse at scale

Responsibilities

Build data models and detection systems to identify platform abuse, bot activity, and fraudulent behavior
Develop frameworks for measuring platform health and tracking abuse trends across the ecosystem
Design and analyze experiments to evaluate trust and safety interventions
Partner with product and engineering teams to implement scalable solutions for fraud prevention and platform integrity
Contribute to building strong data foundations as part of our growing data science team
