Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer
About The Position
InoHealth AG (Ino) is an organization devoted to deciphering the secrets of human aging and longevity. This is achieved by delivering ML/AI-powered precision preventive diagnostics (PPD) tools to clients. Conventional medicine focuses on the treatment of diseases after they have already manifested, rather than prevention. Ino develops tools that detect early health risks, empowering individuals to take control, improve their health, and change how they age. Ino is a small, international remote organization positioned in the heart of Europe. The organisation is currently in the start-up phase which is why we are now looking to further expand our vibrant team. As a key member of Ino’s Data Science team, you will take ownership of end-to-end development of models, from training to deployment into the real-world. You will help ensure that our systems are reliable, scalable, and compliant with health data regulations, while maintaining high standards for code quality and testing. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will communicate results clearly to stakeholders, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and act as a highly proactive, supportive teamplayer who helps in removing obstacles. Requirements
- A valid EU work permit and professional proficiency in verbal and written English
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or relevant field
- Proactive, self-driven, capable of working independently and as part of a small team
- Comfortable taking the ownership of projects, from conceptualisation to execution
- Strong communicator and collaborator - able to explain complex concepts clearly, present decisions effectively, and write code that’s readable and maintainable
- Professional experience (must have): 7+ years in data science/machine learning
- Machine Learning: Good experience building, validating, and deploying models in prod environments.
- Python: Expert in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code for scalable applications.
- GCP: Proven experience deploying and operating model pipelines on Google Cloud.
- CI/CD & testing: Hands-on experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
Nice To Haves
- MLflow (desirable): Experience with MLflow for experiment tracking and model management.
- Healthcare knowledge (desirable): Experience working with medical data, or in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the full model lifecycle from data preparation to model deployment within our platform.
- Build and maintain reproducible ML pipelines with CI/CD and version control.
- Manage and optimize GCP resources to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Ensure robust testing, model transparency, and compliance with health data regulations.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following good engineering standards.
- Communicate insights clearly, contribute to code reviews, and support team growth.
- Act as a proactive and positive team player, who supports in solving problems and removing blockers.
