Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science, with a focus on ranking, personalization, user engagement analytics, or marketing optimization.
  • Deep expertise in A/B testing, causal inference, and experiment design, particularly for evaluating the incremental impact of ranking models, marketing campaigns, and personalization strategies.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical modeling tools (e.g., Scipy, Stats models, R) for data exploration, hypothesis testing, and attribution modeling.
  • Experience with evaluation frameworks for rankings, including engagement-based metrics like CTR and dwell time, as well as metrics related to LTV, conversion rate, and modeling of return on investment.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize the health of marketing channels (emails, notifications, in-app cards, bottom sheets), identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with structured ranking techniques, such as rule-based prioritization, scoring based on rules, and feature engineering (without needing deep ML modeling knowledge).
  • Proven track record to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations, collaborating with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Growth, Finance, and Engineering.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing tools like Spark (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Use data to drive ranking decisions, measure impact, and improve user engagement.
  • Design A/B tests and causal inference studies to assess how personalization strategies influence conversions and long-term user behavior.
  • Analyze trends in marketing channel performance, from CTR and deliverability to user opt-outs and engagement fatigue.
  • Work on scalable measurement frameworks, ensuring our ranking models and engagement strategies are optimized for both user experience and business impact.
