Brief Role Description The Senior Data Scientist – Energy shall be responsible for supporting the development of analytical capabilities to quantify marginal costs and associated predictive analytics for Electrify America’s network, as well as for Electrify Canada and Electrify Commercial customers as applicable. The Senior Energy Data Scientist will work closely with the Director of Energy Services to ensure that all relevant KPIs are properly tracked, measured, reported, and achieved.Possible Tasks within this RoleRole Responsibilities: List essential functions in order of importance; include percentage of time spent performing each function.
Requirements
- 7+ Years of Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Data Science / Analytics / Computer Science
- Experience with vendor and stakeholder negotiation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated record of precision and integrity in past work assignments
- Ability to own projects and drive execution
- Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic, creative, and strategic
- Exceptional Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation, and written
- Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software

Responsibilities
- Support the development of analytical capability to quantify the marginal cost of every session incurred on Electrify America’s network via extensive analysis of utility tariffs for over 250 utilities and over 1000 associated charging locations.
- Support framework development to account for related wholesale energy market parameters, including hourly rates, critical event pricing, and nodal pricing.
- Support the implementation of predictive analytics for marginal utility cost.
- Quantity financial savings on an ongoing basis for Electrify America, Electrify Canada, and Commercial Customers
