About The Position

Waters Corporation is seeking a Senior Data Processing Engineer to join their QA/QC R&D organization at the Milford Global HQ. This role involves developing algorithms for Chromatographic data processing in a cloud environment, contributing to the next generation of Empower CDS Apps. The position requires a strong computational background and familiarity with AI/ML, along with experience in data processing systems and Agile software development methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physics, bioinformatics, chemistry or mathematics (Master's or PhD preferred).
• Five years+ demonstrated experience in algorithm development, numerical methods, regression analysis, statistics, and machine learning.
• Strong C#, .Net Core, Python skills; ability to read and understand legacy C++.
• Experience with development tools including JIRA, Visual Studio, and GitHub.
• Understanding of scalability, performance, and maintainability considerations for software development.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in processing Chromatographic data from UV and MS detectors.
• Experience with algorithms relevant to peak integration, calibration, quantitation, and size exclusion.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud concepts and services including Docker Containers and Microservices.
• Experience in Empower or other CDS software preferred.
• Experience working in a cross-functional product team with hardware and software components.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement Chromatography Data processing algorithms in a cloud environment.
• Strive to become a subject matter expert in Chromatography Data processing.
• Interface with product stakeholders to drive and refine requirements through proactive planning and defining of short-term and long-term deliverables.
• Communicate project progress and provide regular reports to leadership.
