The Senior Data Management Professional - Data Quality - Entities at Bloomberg is responsible for setting the quality strategy for core entity data, ensuring it meets client needs for timeliness, quality, and coverage. This role involves building effective data management solutions, promoting best practices, and implementing data quality checks and metrics. The professional will also review workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and provide guidance on measuring and reporting data quality to internal partners.

  • Develop, refine, and deliver the strategy for achieving best-in-class data quality for the Entities product.
  • Understand different client use cases to ensure data is fit-for-purpose.
  • Educate and empower colleagues on industry principles of data quality.
  • Perform data analysis, including data profiling and statistical analysis, to validate approaches using objective data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, standards, and innovations in the data quality domain.
  • Connect efficiently and proactively with partners and senior management.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in data quality management and/or establishing data governance metrics.
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or QlikSense.
  • Demonstrable experience in Data Profiling/Analysis using tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and broader data workflow engineering concepts.
  • Openness to change in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work through challenges.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work across departments and with global teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to prioritize and adapt to tasks accordingly.
  • Data management certification such as DAMA, CDMP or DCAM.
  • Experience working with an Agile development methodology such as Scrum.
  • Salary range of $110,000 to $170,000 annually.
