This is a client‑facing, delivery‑oriented role focused on assessing, structuring, and optimizing an existing Purview implementation while guiding business and technical stakeholders on best practices.This role is not a strategy‑only or advisory position. The ideal candidate is an experienced practitioner who can work directly with stakeholders, understand current‑state data governance in Purview, and immediately contribute through hands‑on configuration, guidance, and standardization.

Requirements

  • Expert‑level, hands‑on experience with Microsoft Purview in a production environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an existing Purview implementation and improve structure, usability, and governance outcomes
  • Experience in Investment Management or Asset Management environments
  • Strong understanding of investment data domains such as: Portfolio and asset dataPositionsTransactionsReference or master data
  • Background in data engineering, data architecture, analytics platforms, or data governance delivery
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in large, complex, or multi‑affiliate organizations
  • Familiarity with AWS environments and Azure Fabric
  • Experience defining or implementing data quality rules and metrics
  • Exposure to other data catalog or governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
  • Prior consulting or client‑facing delivery experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Purview in a production environment
  • Assess and optimize an existing Purview implementation, including: Data MapData CatalogScanningLineageClassificationGlossary
  • Configure metadata standards, data structuring approaches, and classification models
  • Provide hands‑on guidance on organizing and standardizing data assets within Purview
  • Support the creation of Purview views and dashboards to improve data visibility and usability
  • Work with stakeholders to understand current data governance practices and how they are implemented in Purview
  • Help define and implement foundational governance standards across data domains
  • Support the definition of data quality rules and approaches for surfacing quality insights through Purview (phased, as tooling allows)
  • Assist in standardizing governance practices across multiple business units or affiliates
  • Engage directly with business and technical stakeholders from day one
  • Facilitate discussions to understand data usage, ownership, and governance needs
  • Translate technical Purview capabilities into practical guidance for business users
  • Act as a trusted hands‑on advisor embedded with the client
