About The Position

On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Senior Data Engineer for a permanent role. This position is a remote position with occasional visits to our client's Woburn, MA office. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting the analytics, database infrastructure, and reporting processes to meet the information needs of business users. This role is crucial in ensuring data precision, availability, and actionability, empowering quick and informed decision-making within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, focusing on Data Warehousing and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with Power BI integration with various data sources.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.
• Experience with Power Automate, PowerApps, dbt, and Python.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP and quality systems.
• Experience with system testing and documentation.
• Ability to create and maintain Business Intelligence documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex data models using SQL and related technologies.
• Collaborate with business experts to source, clean, and transform data from various systems.
• Optimize and maintain data warehouses for performance and scalability.
• Lead the design and development of interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Serve as a technology liaison and provide guidance on data analytics best practices.
