Manages, mentors and coaches team members to help improve team skills and gain experience. Deputises for Head of Data and Analytics when necessary.

Requirements

Strong data engineering experience using Python and SQL core Microsoft Azure technologies including Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Azure SQL, LogicApps, PowerShell.
Strong technical communication skills.
Ability to understand and clarify ambiguous requirements from business stakeholders.
Initiative to persistently engage stakeholders and find solutions to execute complex technical projects.
Ability to quickly synthesize and apply new information in a rapidly changing and highly specialized environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience with Power BI.
Experience managing a delivery team that is fully responsible for the quality of the solutions they build and deploy.
Self-motivated and able to work independently yet open and collaborative.
Manages and influences Key/Senior stakeholders.
Track record of delivering well-engineered solutions using best practices such as TDD CI/CD, Peer review.
Experience of working in a similar role on a large programme.
Full project lifecycle experience across a number of large projects.
Knowledge of IT Service management based on ITIL practices.

Experience building ML models and pipelines.
Experience in real estate, architecture, or construction industry.
Experience building data analytics and business intelligence solutions.
Experience working with common enterprise software platforms including HRMS, ERP, CRM, PLM, Finance.
Oracle and experience advantageous.
Experience of implementing big data/analytics services.
Previous experience in the construction sector is advantageous but not essential.
Microsoft cloud and data platform-related certifications.

Responsibilities

Overall technical design of data lake/data warehouse working alongside data architecture team.
Ensuring best practice and governance are adhered to.
Providing comprehensive use of services and tools to ingest, egress and transform data from multiple sources.
Managing and securing the flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
Building and optimizing data flows for use across the organisation.
Building robust end-to-end systems with long-term maintenance and support in mind.
Maintaining expert knowledge of technology platforms and looking to implement new innovations and features.
Collaborating with the data architecture team to scope out changes to data and information architecture.
Building strong relationships and engagement with IT Service management software engineering partners to successfully transition deliverables into service.
Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
