About The Position

Will work closely with our BI team and IT Management to help derive internal business intelligence reporting & development to create, improve and maintain ad hoc & automated reporting and dashboards. Will have Hands-on experience with SQL. Will be familiar with predictive analysis and data visualization techniques using relevant tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1. Help teams on the technical design and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms 2. Help align with firm data management standards and ensure applications within the portfolio are in line with those standards 3. Write SQL queries, stored procedures and utilize SQL Server to generate reports and respond to requests from users for data 4. Work closely with other technology members to ensure quality of monitoring 5. Clearly communicate problem/resolution process to users or management 6. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of ETL using SSIS or comparable tool
  • 7+ years of experience Database Analysis and/or Development experience with SQL Server, writing SQL statements and generating reports
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial/banking industry a plus
  • Excellent understanding of Relational Database Design
  • Strong technical experience in database development, performing DDL operations, writing queries and stored procedures, and optimizing database objects
  • Solid reporting skills preferably using SSRS
  • Establishment and implementation of reporting tools to create reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytic tool
  • Effective analyst able to work closely with non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes and can establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other departments/agencies.
  • Be self-driven with the desire to achieve measurable, specific results within tight time frames
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Must be willing to work after-hours
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must be able to interface with users and vendors
  • Must have sense of urgency and ownership to support financial applications, with architectural and system component knowledge preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be a self-starter that is driven to understand and complete tasks within the guidelines and timeframes assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MS Access, MS Visual Studio, Crystal Reports or Datawatch Monarch is a plus.
  • Experience with Data management standards such as data governance is a plus
