About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in United States. In this role, you will architect and develop cloud-native data platforms, focusing on modern data warehousing, transformation, and orchestration frameworks. You will design scalable data pipelines and models, ensure data quality and observability, and contribute to backend services and infrastructure supporting data-driven features. Collaborating across multiple teams, you will influence architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and implement best practices for CI/CD and pipeline delivery. This position combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, offering opportunities to impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the data ecosystem. Your work will directly enable analytics, product development, and operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with dbt for modeling, testing, and deployment
  • Proficiency with orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar)
  • Deep expertise with data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake or Redshift, including performance tuning and RBAC
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python or Golang, with advanced SQL capabilities
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven design, microservices, and data platform architecture
  • Experience with metadata management, lineage tools, and observability technologies (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
  • Excellent communication skills for leading technical discussions across teams

  • Salesforce integration, experience in regulated industries, and Azure infrastructure management (AKS)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable data pipelines and models using Snowflake, dbt, and other modern data platforms
  • Design, implement, and operate orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
  • Define modeling standards, storage patterns, and performance optimization strategies
  • Collaborate on backend APIs, services, integration layers, and limited frontend interfaces supporting data-driven features
  • Implement data quality checks, lineage tracking, SLAs, and observability solutions
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes, environment management, and automated pipeline delivery
  • Mentor and guide engineers, promoting architectural best practices and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in multi-team architectural planning and system design discussions
