About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable, end-to-end data solutions for business problems of varying complexity. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into technical solutions, define data architecture, and ensure high-quality implementation aligned with enterprise standards. This role is ideal for experienced data engineers with strong GCP, Spark/Scala, and SQL expertise, looking to build scalable data solutions in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Strong expertise in SQL
Hands-on experience with Spark & Scala
Experience with GCP Big Data technologies

Looker Studio Pro, LookML
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in data engineering / data warehousing / ETL / software engineering
4+ years of experience in SDLC and solution implementation
5+ years of experience in SQL, object-oriented programming, and scripting
5+ years of experience with big data technologies
3+ years of experience with GCP cloud-based data platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to design scalable and maintainable data architectures
Experience working in enterprise data environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Nice To Haves

Experience with LookML / LSP
Proficiency in Python

Responsibilities

Design and develop end-to-end data solutions for business and enterprise needs
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture
Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using modern data technologies
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions
Lead development of integrated data applications and reusable frameworks
Ensure data quality, observability, and governance compliance
Develop and enforce testing strategies including unit, integration, and UAT support
Collaborate with data science teams to enable model deployment and scalability
Work with data governance teams on data retention, privacy, and security policies
Participate in infrastructure and platform decisions including build vs buy
Analyze trade-offs involving cost, scalability, performance, and risk
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to planning and estimation activities
