About The Position

We are looking for a new Senior Data Engineer to join our IT team in the Corporate Office in Baton Rouge, LA. The Senior Data Engineer will architect, develop, and support enterprise-grade data platforms and advanced analytics capabilities. This role focuses on integrating diverse data sources such as Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, audience data, impression logs, campaign performance data, location intelligence, financial systems, and legacy platforms to enable data-driven decisions across revenue, operations, ad delivery, and customer insights. This role will play a critical role in building resilient data pipelines, supporting advanced analytics, enabling AI/ML use cases, ensuring high data quality, and supporting a rapidly scaling advertising network. Requirements

  • Strong expertise in SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on management of SQL Server high availability clusters with Availability Groups.
  • Proven experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations across Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, and diverse enterprise systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Python for data engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Medallion Architecture, data warehouses, and scalable data platforms.
  • Experience with REST APIs, automation frameworks, and integration solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps, CI/CD, environment automation, and monitoring.
  • Experience working with financial data, advanced analytics, statistics, and supporting AI/ML initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Tableau or similar BI platforms.
  • Strong foundation in data hygiene, data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems, specifically SVN, including code promotion strategies.
  • Exposure to MLOps, feature stores, or model lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, microservices, and modern data platform frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • 7 years of experience in Data, data platform development, or analytics engineering within complex, enterprise environments required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data orchestration and ETL pipelines to extract and transform data from multiple external sources including Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, and legacy in-house systems.
  • Manage data warehouse environments using Medallion Architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold) to enable scalable, trusted, and high-quality data assets.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain SQL and Python-based transformations, automation scripts, workflows, and reusable frameworks.
  • Implement and enforce data hygiene, data quality, governance, lineage, and metadata management best practices across data environments.
  • Anticipate business growth and ensure the platforms scale efficiently, including performance tuning, storage planning, workload optimization, and architectural evolution.
  • Enable and support enterprise BI analytics, ensuring availability of high-performance curated datasets for business users.
  • Support and implement DevOps and CI/CD practices for data engineering, including deployment automation, environment management, and monitoring.
  • Manage code repositories, branching strategies, and version control using SVN and Git-based practices as applicable.
  • Develop solutions involving REST APIs and integration frameworks for ingestion and data exchange.
  • Partner with analytics, finance, and data teams to support advanced analytics, financial data modeling, statistics, AI, NLP, and machine learning use cases.
  • Ensure platform security, governance enforcement, compliance, and best practices for enterprise data handling.
  • Provide mentorship, technical leadership, architectural guidance, and participate in design/code reviews.
  • Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance the data engineering ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Create technical documents and manage Jira tasks.
