About The Position

CGI Federal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines and systems that support client data needs. You will work with other technical teams to ensure that data flows seamlessly across systems and meets client business needs. This position is performed at the client site in Arlington, VA or Washington, DC. This position is located in Arlington, VA. Your future duties and responsibilities: Design and build scalable data pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and analysis. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and design appropriate solutions. Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and accessible for analytical use. Optimize data systems for performance and scalability. Mentor junior data engineers and guide them in best practices.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in data engineering.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipeline frameworks.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data integration tools.
Experience working with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, or similar big data technologies.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
