You will design, develop, and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting data from internal systems (policy, claims, billing) and external sources when applicable. You will evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and tools to improve data engineering capabilities and performance. Additionally, you will design and manage modern data platforms (e.g., cloud-based data lakes or warehouses) to support real-time and batch processing use cases. Ensuring data quality, integrity, and lineage by implementing rigorous validation and monitoring frameworks is also a key responsibility. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate insurance-specific needs into scalable data solutions, support data governance efforts by developing and maintaining documentation, metadata, and data dictionaries, and monitor individual and team performance, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to continuously improve results. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to setting data engineering best practices across the organization will be part of your role, as well as serving as the primary liaison between business and IT to ensure quality data and alignment.
