About The Position

GovCIO is seeking a Sr. Cloud Azure Data Engineer to lead and deliver Azure Data Analytics solutions for enterprise-level organizations. This fully remote position requires expertise in designing and implementing data platforms, managing performance, and collaborating with business stakeholders to enable advanced analytic capabilities. The role involves working with various Azure services and BI tools to create data products and ensure high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline required.
• 8 years of experience in relevant fields, with 4 years of additional experience substituting for education.
• At least 2 years of experience with Azure services required.
• Direct experience in solution shaping and architecture development during planning and delivery.
• Strong skills in data modeling, mapping data flows, and data design.
• Experience with ELT processes and Azure Data Analytics platform tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse/Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
• Experience designing reporting and data visualization solutions using Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management and Data Quality tools.
• Experience in designing and implementing machine learning solutions for data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Microsoft Azure Data Platform certification (DP-200, DP-201) is ideal.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Azure DataBricks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Azure Data Analytics solutions for enterprise-level organizations.
• Design solutions using Microsoft Azure services and related tools.
• Create enterprise data models and data solutions.
• Specify ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines and data integration designs using low-code/no-code tools.
• Implement Master Data Management solutions and Data Quality Management methodologies.
• Work within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and end users throughout the software development lifecycle.
