About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping how data drives decisions across the business. You’ll design and scale data systems that connect Salesforce, Snowflake, SQL Server, and Tableau—transforming fragmented data into reliable, actionable insights. This is a high-impact role where you’ll own data pipelines end-to-end, influence architecture decisions, and build the foundation for self-service analytics used by business teams daily. Smart Circle International is a leading broker of outsourced sales and customer acquisition services. We help clients and independently owned and operated sales companies grow together through versatile in-person marketing and sales campaigns inside retailers, businesses, and through door-to-door canvassing. Our corporate offices are in Newport Beach and Toronto.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL (SQL Server, Snowflake) and data modeling
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple systems
  • Proficiency with Tableau for building business-facing dashboards
  • Experience working with Salesforce data and integrations
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools
  • Understanding of data governance, APIs, and system integration

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve our data ecosystem
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines across Salesforce, Snowflake, and SQL Server
  • Improve reliability, performance, and observability of data workflows
  • Lead data modeling efforts to support analytics and reporting
  • Enable better business decisions
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions
  • Develop clean, trusted datasets and power self-service analytics in Tableau
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across teams
  • Drive automation and efficiency
  • Build and manage automated workflows and scheduling systems
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual work
  • Strengthen governance and integration
  • Maintain data quality, security, and compliance standards
  • Integrate systems using APIs and modern data tools
  • Document systems and promote best practices across teams
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support team and organizational priorities
