About The Position

Great Gray is looking to add a Senior Data Architect to our Data & AI team. This role is responsible for supporting Great Gray’s RPAG application through maintaining and improving performance of the backend data systems. The Data Architect will also work with the rest of the Data & AI team to ensure that best practices are followed and aligned with other data intensive efforts within the organization. Location This position will work remote. Candidate must be located in the Eastern Time Zone within the United States. Visa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer.

Requirements

• 7+ years data modeling experience, with various modeling methodologies (third normal form, data warehousing, etc.)
• Ability to perform technical assessment of existing architecture and provide recommendations for improvement
• Experience working with Python data pipelines
• Experience with leading data migration

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models used by our data intensive applications
• Define and enforce data architecture standards and best practices
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure that requirements are being met
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and metadata management across assigned data stores
• Optimize data architecture for performance and reliability
• Develop and maintain documentation for data models, architectures, and technical standards
• Support data migration from SQL Server to PostgreSQL
• Complete other related duties as assigned
