About The Position

The Senior Data Analytics/Visualization Specialist provides expertise to support the A4 with Data Analytics and Visualization using tools, such as Basing & Logistics Analytics Data Environment (BLADE), ADVANA Data Fabric, Maven Smart System, and others, focusing on operational level (MAJCOM staff) and tactical-level (Wing and below) requirements gathering and development. (Qlik Sense/Advana) The Senior Data Analytics/Visualization Specialist works closely with business analysts, product owners, and key stakeholders to design, develop, and implement custom dashboards, visualizations, and reports to meet organizational needs. This includes creating custom reporting solutions, participating in Kanban/SCRUM sprints and summaries, and attending weekly SCRUMs and retrospectives. The Senior Data Analytics/Visualization Specialist employs expert-level Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, enabling the creation and modification of complex queries, leverages established standards, policies, and processes across NIPR and SIPR environments to ensure interoperability and integration across the enterprise, and collaborates with developer teams to receive training, mentoring, and facilitation as needed. The Senior Data Analytics/Visualization Specialist submits requirements to the Basing and Logistics Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Steering Team (BLAAST), Maven Developers or others as required.

Requirements

  • 5 + years of related experience
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Possess and maintain DoWD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
  • TESA eligibility/certification required.
  • Possess expert-level Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, enabling the creation and modification of complex queries.
  • Be proficient in gathering, analyzing, and translating requirements into functional specifications, prototypes, and working capabilities
  • Experience with Databricks and iQuery data access/management tools.
  • This position requires a minimum of five years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in performing systems analysis, development, and implementation for business, mathematical, engineering or scientific settings using a variety of information technology resources.
  • Requires experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which provides substantial knowledge useful in managing large, complex AIS projects closely related to the work to be automated, and/or in a computer science, information system, a physical science, engineering or a mathematics - intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution.
  • For Germany and Italy positions, candidate must meet TESA requirements as follows: Germany: A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of recent specialized experience; or Associate’s degree and seven (7) years of recent specialized experience; or No degree and 11 years or recent specialized experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Data Analytics, Visualization or Developer certifications (e.g., Qlik Sense Business Analyst, Qlik Sense Data Architect, PowerBi, Tableau)
  • Preferred experience includes Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Lumira, Power BI, Business Objects.
