The Senior Data & Analytics Developer is an important member of the Data & Analytics team with the primary responsibility to participate in all phases of the technology delivery lifecycle and consistently deliver business value to our external and internal customers. He/she is a technical leader within our Data & Analytics team structure and in collaboration with other information services and business teams, creates POCs, delivers capabilities and solutions, and defines and communicates best practices, approach and direction for the technical aspects of our business applications and solutions. This role partners with architecture to assist in establishing a technical vision for the CAP’s data and analytics capabilities and works closely with delivery teams to ensure adherence to guidelines during implementation. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and translate them into technical requirements, data models, and data integration pipelines.

  • Deliver technical data and analytics solutions
  • Contribute to the ideation of new analytics and data solutions
  • Lead and/or participate in analytical or technical discussions on complex projects and/or applications
  • Drives implementation delivery ensuring adherence to architecture design, guidelines, and principles
  • Provide and/or validate estimates
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of project plans
  • Lead/provide technical solutions during the technical design and create the appropriate high-level design documentation
  • Lead/provide guidance for application systems using approved techniques and frameworks
  • Prepare/ coordinate/ oversee the technical design documentation
  • Assist with problem resolution and build relationships with team members, business users, vendors, peers, and other IT teams
  • Perform code analysis and review for adherence to standards and best-practice guidelines
  • Proficient ability to create documentation as needed and follow internal standards and methodology, i.e.: - configuration changes - commenting code changes - application architecture diagrams - activity and flow diagrams
  • Translate documented requirements for: - data - workflow - logical processes - hardware and operating systems - internal and external checks and control
  • Proficient customer service attitude and ability to adapt to a changing environment.

  • Proficient interpersonal skills, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Must be detail and deadline oriented.
  • Proficient in analyzing and understanding business needs and requirements of software including: business objectives functions features input and output requirements
  • Proficient in applying appropriate technology through: technical configuration and customization report development integrations/interfaces
  • Proficient problem solving skills and programming aptitude
  • Ability to accurately estimate the ETL and Data Architecture components of data integration, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Reporting and Data Warehouse delivery projects.
  • Proven BI and analytics experience in a medium to large, matrixed organization.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in large-scale enterprise level database and software design, development and maintenance including rapid prototyping and complete product development cycle.
  • Five years’ experience with data integration/ETL technologies in a complex data environment
  • Five years’ experience writing, tuning, and executing SQL including complex queries, stored procedures and functions.
  • Three to five years’ experience in data warehousing and database concepts, including performance tuning
  • Three to five years’ experience of data modeling
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Three to five years of experience working with AWS applications, services, and databases
  • Three to five years’ experience developing applications using the Amazon Redshift database on Data Warehousing projects
  • Three years’ experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in application development required.
  • Three to seven years’ experience in systems analysis and programming essential, preferably with technical leadership experience
  • Experience in multiple technology delivery models (waterfall, agile, etc.)
  • Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the Northfield headquarters.
  • Experience working with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies and capabilities
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Any applicable certifications a plus
