We are seeking an experienced analytical Data Analyst to design, develop, and maintain complex data models and dynamic dashboards that provide meaningful insights and drive data-driven leadership decisions. In this role, you will develop statistical and predictive data models that align with agency leadership objectives and goals. The role combines strong technical skills in data modeling, data analytics, and data visualization with knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data visualization or a related role.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Python, R or other data analytics programming languages.
  • Experience with working large complex data sets and statistical and predictive modeling
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data analytics and dashboarding experience, preferred
  • US Citizenship Required to obtain DHS Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Active DHS EOD preferred
  • Experience working with workforce data a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and metrics. Clean, process, and validate data for modeling and analysis.
  • Develop, test, and implement predictive and statistical models using linear regression, machine learning, and other relevant techniques.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Define and document functional and technical requirements for dataflows, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting frameworks, and analytical methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, goals, and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and industry best practices.
  • Actively contribute to Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Evaluate and interpret data to develop actionable insights and recommendations for process enhancements, cost reduction, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
  • Create compelling and insightful presentations and reports to communicate findings, recommendations, and implementation plans to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
