About The Position

World’s Finest Chocolate seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This role will be instrumental in analyzing large volumes of unstructured data, primarily focused on sales and marketing, and forecasting models. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analyst role, preferably in a sales, marketing, or strategic planning context
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and experience being able to implement the infrastructure to connect and support tools to existing data sources.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in predictive modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets and unstructured data
  • Experience integrating diverse data sources, including government and demographic data
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with geospatial analysis and mapping tools
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics and customer segmentation techniques
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Understanding of privacy regulations and data governance principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including sales, marketing, government, and census data
  • Create data tables from external data (school lists, US Census.gov) and integrating it with sales data
  • Improving the current database by enforcing data validation/formatting and structure
  • Creating dashboards/visualizations for the org to take advantage of the data
  • Creating analysis to show opportunities based on over/under development based on identifiable consumer demographics
  • Creating analysis/models to indicate prime prospect areas and quantify opportunity (sales/capita)
  • Creating forecast models to show sales trending to identify trends
  • Develop and maintain complex forecasting models to predict market trends and consumer behavior at the zip code level
  • Create and implement data analysis processes to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical frameworks
  • Develop comprehensive reports and data visualizations to communicate findings effectively to the Head of Strategy and other stakeholders
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization

  • Competitive base salary $110,000.00-130,000.00 annually
