As a Senior Data Analyst you will be part of the Data Analytics Team based in our 250 Nicollet Mall, MN location. You will support decision making of leaders from all areas of the business. Engage business partners on major projects or initiatives and develop comprehensive analysis solutions including: Adoption and utilization measurement, Opportunity recognition and surfacing, Predictive and prescriptive modelling Provide oversight and guidance for analytical initiatives including best practice design principles, approach recommendations, proper governance approaches and effective presentation methodologies Partner with data engineers, finance and business leaders to identify meaningful opportunities to add value to the business utilizing statistics, advance modeling and compelling visualizations Continually look for new ways to develop tools and information that helps the business to measure and improve its processes and drive value for RBC clients and shareholders Evaluate new requests by applying best practices to negotiate deliverables, timelines and direction that successfully meet business requirements Develop an understanding of end user needs, how the information will be used, and appropriate presentation for the given audience Through development iteration, agile and documentation, review mission goals and insure that final deliverables match client needs Leverage business understanding and previous experience to tailor solutions that are scalable, verifiable and best fit the user's requirements

  • Continually look for new ways to develop tools and information that helps the business to measure and improve its processes and drive value for RBC clients and shareholders
  • Evaluate new requests by applying best practices to negotiate deliverables, timelines and direction that successfully meet business requirements
  • Develop an understanding of end user needs, how the information will be used, and appropriate presentation for the given audience

  • Leverage business understanding and previous experience to tailor solutions that are scalable, verifiable and best fit the user's requirements
  • Strong analysis skills, primarily investigating and explaining trends and variances using statistical techniques
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative filed (PHD/Master) with 3 years of work experience or 5 years of professional experience from an accredited university
  • Capable of analyzing large data sets using at least one data manipulation language (R, Python, SQL, SAS and ETC)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with a high level of technical proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks as well as adjust to changing priorities
  • A self-starter with high energy and a driven curiosity to go beyond the obvious and provide ideas for innovation
  • Degree in mathematics, sciences, engineering, finance or information systems or experience in financial services
  • Experience using AI/ML models to solve business problems
  • Experience with tableau, SAS or Alteryx
