About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with experience in retail and a passion for data-driven, repeatable, and rigorous analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for the e-commerce landscape and understand that style and statistics go hand in hand. You’ll generate actionable insights by analyzing business opportunities and customer engagement/behavior, and influence decision-making through compelling data storytelling. You’ll bring these insights to life by collaborating with our Marketing, Product, Merchandising, and Data teams to design and launch experiments. You’ll also help keep us agile by developing new metrics and custom reports. If you’re a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, deep expertise in e-commerce and customer analytics, and a drive to deliver impactful, visible work—we’d love to hear from you. You’re comfortable building reports from scratch to support new features and A/B tests. You’re familiar with various e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and are a self-motivated learner, especially when exploring new data visualization tools like Tableau. Your goal is to uncover performance opportunities and clearly communicate your insights to the business, helping shape our strategic digital and customer roadmap.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL, R or Python (or equivalent) programming languages required.
  • Proficiency with advanced graphics/visualization software/packages.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities – Capable of independently driving projects with unclear direction, effectively prioritizing tasks, identifying necessary resources, and making informed trade-off decisions.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop strong, synergistic relationships with a multitude of teams and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to clarify success criteria and build measurement strategies.
  • Uncover the business problems in-depth and use data and insights to tell stories that influence business decisions.
  • Analyze complex business challenges and uncover insights on digital, retail and customer performance using hypothesis-driven approaches.
  • Monitor site funnel metrics to discover traffic trends, click-through patterns, customer lifecycle engagement and shopping patterns, product performance, and marketing performance opportunities.
  • Collaboratively design and execute statistically-powered A/B tests with tools like Optimizely and Heap.
  • Deliver a variety of analytical outputs, including reports, dashboards, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders, including executives, and advise on how to best leverage analytics in their areas.
  • Document and share your work, and contribute to a culture of data rigor.
