IQVIA is hiring to expand our dedicated Real World Evidence (RWE) FSP team, working fully within the environment of a prominent Pharma company. This senior data analyst role sits within our Real World Solutions team and will be responsible for leading development of datasets and conducting HEOR analyses for observational studies in inflammation, virology, and oncology under one client portfolio. It is important for this individual to have prior experience in observational research and HEOR methodologies, a strong statistical programming skillset, and experience managing multiple studies and complex analyses. In this role, individuals will have access to real-world databases and act as the stewards of the client's best practices, standards, and methodologies underlying the use of real-world data (RWD).

  • Lead development of analytic datasets through raw data processing and conduct data checks / cleaning using secondary real world data sources, including claims, EHR, and genomic data
  • Conduct and QC analyses, including identification of diagnosis and treatment codes and variable refinement, to inform parameters for economic models
  • Develop programs for lines of therapy in oncology studies
  • Develop specifications for descriptive and complex statistics in studies using RWD for HEOR research questions
  • In collaboration with epidemiologists and HEOR scientists select an appropriate internal database(s) to address research questions and generate study measures in RWD
  • Develop and QC TFLs for protocols/reports/manuscripts using RWD (e.g. claims and EHR)
  • Support development of other study documents including protocols, statistical analysis plans, and study reports
  • Communicate timelines, progress reports, and results to project team and key stakeholders
  • Provide technical, programming, and statistical expertise and independently bring project solutions to team for complex studies
  • PhD in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics or related field with 3 years relevant experience or Master's Degree with 5-8 years relevant experience required
  • Knowledge of HEOR methodologies, statistics, programming, and real-world studies
  • Formal training and demonstrated proficiency in statistical programming using SAS, macros, basic SQL required
  • Experience in CRO/consultation with client engagement responsibilities
  • Experience in HEOR, medical affairs, managed markets, healthcare consulting or other pharmaceutical/biotech industry work or research
  • Strong track record of analysis of RWD in oncology
  • Excellent analytic and communication skills with attention to detail
