Responsibilities

• Oversee and facilitate the health, welfare, nutrition, and breeding of the dairy herd, ensuring proper veterinary care and accurate record maintenance.
• Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff, including student workers, and manage work shift scheduling to ensure effective dairy operations and compliance with animal welfare standards.
• Ensure proper maintenance of all farm equipment and facilities, coordinating repairs and upgrades as necessary, while managing the farm's budget and monitoring expenses.
• Oversee the maintenance of all required compliance records with the assistance of the Operations Manager.
• Collaborate with university faculty and students on research project planning and facilitate educational tours and practical learning experiences.
