About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management Versatilist to join the team in Kent, WA; Charleston, SC; or Hazelwood, MO. In this position, you will play a crucial role, protecting Boeing’s Information Technology ecosystem by accelerating security automation and emergent vulnerability response activities. In this dynamic and collaborative position, you will identify, design, implement, and optimize vulnerability management solutions that propel vulnerability risk reduction across The Boeing Company estate. The selected candidate will innovate and collaborate across IT, Cybersecurity, and other strategic organizations to proactively address vulnerabilities using a risk-based approach. Your expertise will be essential in determining how to shorten cycle times and enrich vulnerability assessment processes leveraging multiple data sources. Your capability to identify gaps, determine solutions, and deliver results will push vulnerability management forward. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vulnerability management (or complimentary disciplines like patch, configuration, or infrastructure support) with a strong portfolio of innovation accomplishments in complex environments, as well as experience leading change across organizations. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management or complimentary discipline (i.e., Infrastructure Support, IT Solutions Architecture, Patch and Configuration Management, Security Engineering, etc.), and analytics
  • 3+ years of experience of systems design, software development, and scripting

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and security analytics
  • General and/or advanced certifications in vulnerability management or cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to executive leadership
  • 5+ years of experience leading and executing cross-functional cybersecurity initiatives
  • Experience with Vulnerability risk ratings and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Stakeholder Specific Vulnerability Categorization (SSVC)
  • Experience in cloud security and vulnerability management within cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Boeing Enterprise Security (BES), IT, and risk management teams to identify and address critical vulnerabilities based on risk prioritization
  • Design and implement solutions for large-scale threat and vulnerability data processing
  • Support and expand tooling deployed to expedite vulnerability assessment activities
  • Leverage threat intelligence feeds and vulnerability scanning tools to identify and assess potential vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks
  • Stay up to date with the latest vulnerability management trends, emerging threats, and technologies to enhance Boeing’s vulnerability management capabilities
  • Advise the Vulnerability & Attack Surface Management leadership team and plan execution on strategic initiatives
