About The Position

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer plays a critical role in building and scaling a comprehensive, enterprise-wide cybersecurity program. This role is responsible for designing secure architecture, implementing modern security controls, and strengthening threat detection, incident response, and risk management capabilities across diverse environments. Partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, this position helps drive a proactive, risk-based security approach aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience across multiple domains (endpoint, identity, network, vulnerability management, and SIEM)
  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Tenable/Qualys, Okta, or Azure AD
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Critical Security Controls, and Zero Trust principles
  • Experience supporting incident response, threat detection, and security monitoring programs
  • Strong security architecture and engineering expertise
  • Analytical thinking and risk-based decision making
  • Incident response and threat detection capabilities
  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to design scalable, proactive security solutions
  • Familiarity with cloud security environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security architecture across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity environments
  • Deploy and optimize core security technologies including SIEM, EDR, IAM, PAM, and vulnerability management tools
  • Build and mature cybersecurity programs aligned with frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and HIPAA requirements
  • Lead technical investigations and response efforts for security incidents while enhancing detection and response capabilities
  • Implement vulnerability management processes and partner with teams to prioritize and remediate risks
  • Improve security monitoring through log management, alert tuning, and detection engineering, including automation of workflows
  • Support compliance initiatives, audits, and security assessments across regulated environments
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to ensure secure system design and integration of security controls
