About the position

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for safeguarding GTT’s networks, systems, and data from cyber-threats and attacks. They are responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and upgrading the security controls that protect GTT’s corporate infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage secure endpoint and network solutions to defend against cyberattacks.
  • Respond to security incidents by investigating, collecting, and analyzing logs and evidence, and then developing policies, procedures, and solutions to address identified gaps.
  • Testing and scanning of networks and systems to identify, track, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Act as an escalation point when issues impact an employee, driving problems to resolution, and managing the communications internally.
  • Ensure quality of team ticket handling including clear communications, timely responses and escalations outside of CSOC when indicated.
  • Manage/maintain solutions including VPN, Privilege escalation, Antivirus, MDM, content filtering.
  • Document process and procedures for Security Incident and event management.
  • Ensure efficiency, quality, and consistent services across all functions within the Cybersecurity team.
  • Support for new product development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ cybersecurity-related experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience of operational delivery in a 24x7 business critical production environment.
  • 2+ years' experience with Cisco AnyConnect VPN and Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and remediation procedures including risk management.
  • Significant understanding of security incidents, including malware, network reconnaissance, and emerging threats.
  • CISSP preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, priority setting, facilitation, multi-tasking, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to generate a sense of urgency and rally appropriate resources both internally and with third parties.
  • Be a positive, self-motivated proactive individual who is equally comfortable engaging with all levels within the GTT organization.
  • High level of initiative and integrity.
  • Deliver the appropriate balance of business need, employee expectation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, presentation and documentation skills.
  • Have a can-do attitude and demonstrate a passion for new technology and learning.
