About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Counsel-Senior Assistant Vice President to join the Cybersecurity and Privacy Legal Division. This role requires expertise in U.S. and global cybersecurity and privacy laws, providing legal support to the Chief Information Security Office and the Enterprise Business Resiliency Office. The Senior Counsel will act as a trusted legal advisor, addressing complex legal matters related to information security, privacy, and risk management.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Law experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Active State Bar membership or equivalent in a country outside the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in global financial services cybersecurity laws and regulations, particularly FFIEC, CFTC, NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulation, NIST 800-53, NIST Cyber Framework, ISO, and PCI compliance.
• Experience with data breach and incident response investigations.
• Experience working on policy issues related to cybersecurity and privacy.
• Experience working with law enforcement and national security authorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and represent the Company in complex matters including information security, third-party risk management, incident response, and privacy.
• Guide internal clients on legal matters, risk assessment, and policy decisions.
• Draft and review complex legal documents and vendor agreements related to information security.
• Independently resolve complex issues and assist the Cybersecurity Legal team.
• Collaborate with peers and mid-level managers to achieve goals.
• Work directly with business clients to understand their activities and products.
• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement risk management programs.
