The Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) combines technology-enabled services and mission software capabilities in the areas of cyber, logistics, security operations, and decision analytics to support our defense and intel customers' mission to defend against evolving threats around the world. The National Security Sector (NSS) seeks highly qualified and trained Cyberspace Operational Planners to serve as Cyber Capability Integrators, responsible for designing, deploying, and managing complex cybersecurity solutions by combining various systems and tools to form a cohesive, effective security posture. The role focuses on ensuring that disparate security technologies and processes work seamlessly together to defend an organization from both physical and cyber threats. The individual filling this role will participate in the program's robust cross training program and be certified and willing to support surge requirements by serving in mission critical JOC roles for a short duration, if required. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award.

  • Act as a crucial bridge between end-users and the development and integration of new cyber systems and technologies.
  • Provide user feedback, conduct research and analysis, develop and implement software/hardware capabilities, assist with policy and documentation, and coordinate with various teams.
  • Serve as a primary user representative, providing feedback and ensuring that new cyber capabilities meet the needs of the warfighter and operational forces.
  • Analyze system vulnerabilities and user needs to research, develop, and implement new cyber capabilities.
  • Coordinate the integration of new technologies into existing systems, identifying and assessing dependencies with other programs and organizations.
  • Provide technical expertise on cybersecurity functions and technologies, including network security, defensive tools, and advanced communications.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of program documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security standards.
  • Train users on new capabilities and provide guidance on the use and application of cyber tools and technologies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cyber threats and attack methods and techniques.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive programs for assessing CO and validating operational performance characteristics.
  • Review, approve, prioritize, and submit operational needs for research, development, and/or acquisition of cyber capabilities.
  • Communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • BA/BS degree within Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or relevant field of study. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 15 plus years' or greater recent work experience as CO SME with experience in capability requirements, integration and testing.
  • Solution architecture: Design and develop comprehensive security solutions by integrating software, hardware, networks, and data storage systems.
  • Requirements analysis: Evaluate an organization's specific security needs and goals, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending strategies for mitigating risks.
  • System implementation: Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of security technologies.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Work with internal teams to align integration strategies with business objectives and budgets.
  • Compliance and policy management: Review and document security requirements to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Threat analysis and incident response: Assist with incident response activities and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Training and support: Conduct training sessions for staff and provide ongoing support for new security capabilities.
  • Strategic planning: Assist in developing long-term security roadmaps and track the progress of technical projects.
  • Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals and operations of a wide range of communications media.
  • Ability to support timely, accurate, relevant analytical production.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Masters' Degree or higher within Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related technical field.
  • Intimate familiarity with USCYBERCOM organizational structure and mission.
  • Prior experience supporting Joint operations across multiple warfighting domains.
  • Demonstrated experience incorporating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning into operations.
  • Experience with gathering requirements, integrating capabilities, providing training and help desk support.
  • Familiar with change management processes.
  • Familiar with art of Data Science and applicability to CO.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Power BI data visualization software.
  • Desired Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (CCNA Security, COMPTIA CySA+, COMPTIA Security + CE, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
