About The Position
To provide customers with the highest quality service by providing consistent customer service and resolution in order to ensure timely release and/or inbound or outbound movement of freight/cargo. May proactively lead and guide team members ensuring successful achievement of operational objectives. The position involves preparing, analyzing, and submitting documentation to the appropriate parties (U.S. Customs, agents, clients) to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to customs. Responsibilities include anticipating, identifying, and resolving problems that could delay the timely release or movement of freight, maintaining relationships with correspondent brokers, and resolving banking and letter of credit problems. The role also requires advising customers on payment terms, obtaining payment on delinquent accounts, and resolving billing issues.
