About The Position

SAIC is seeking a motivated and experienced Cross-Domain Solutions/Multi-Level Security professional to join our team. In this role, you will examine, design, and implement secure data transfer methods between different security domains and their boundaries using CDS/MLS technology. You will collaborate with security engineers, software developers, and policy experts to research, define and validate CDS rulesets and MLS policies in alignment with security requirements for secure cross-domain data transfer. Your knowledge of CDS and MLS architecture, security protocols, data formats, and security frameworks will be key to ensuring CDS/MLS technology meets the highest standards of security. This is a fully remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen with a Top Secret clearance. Must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or similar and five (5) or more experience.
  • Expert knowledge of RTB, NIST 800-53, Risk Management Framework, and Lab-Based Security Assessments (LBSA).
  • Strong understanding of CDS technologies, their security configurations and best practices, with experience supporting Multi-level Security (MLS).
  • Knowledge of protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTPS, etc.) and data formats (e.g., .XML, CSV, JPEG, etc.)
  • Proficient with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding and ideally, experience in mitigating inference, as part of ruleset/policy development/implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze protocols, data formats, and security policies to define CDS and similar MLS rulesets/policies for data validation, transformation, and filtering.
  • Assist in developing, testing, and implementing CDS and similar MLS (e.g. Aether) rulesets/policies to ensure secure data transfers across security domains.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for developed policies, rulesets, test procedures, and results.
  • Stay current on the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in cross-domain and Multi-level security. Apply this knowledge to improve testing methodology and ensure that ruleset development is robust and effective.
  • Collaborate with security engineers, software developers, and policy experts to ensure CDS technology compliance with National Security Agency (NSA) Raise-The-Bar (RTB), NIST 800-53 Standards, or other security frameworks.
