About The Position

The Senior Crime Intelligence Analyst Supervisor is responsible for mentoring and supervising the Intelligence Watch & Warning section, managing daily activities, and preparing analytical reports and assessments in collaboration with the Assistant Special Agent in Charge. This role requires adherence to established policies and compliance with laws governing the dissemination of criminal intelligence.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of analytical experience in criminal intelligence, military intelligence, national or homeland security intelligence, crime analysis, or investigative experience in a law enforcement agency.
  • A master's degree in criminology, law enforcement intelligence analysis, national or homeland security intelligence, crime analysis or comparable discipline; or a professional certificate in one of these disciplines can substitute for one year of the required experience.
  • Any combination of education or experience as described above; or vocational/technical training in law enforcement, or college coursework from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 720 classroom hours per year for the required education.
  • Completion of the FDLE Law Enforcement Analyst Academy (FLEAA) within two years of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Assigning projects and managing workload.
  • Assisting in the development, editing, and review of all Intelligence Watch & Warning intelligence products.
  • Aiding ongoing projects using extensive research and interpretive skills and techniques.
  • Adhering to department policies regarding the dissemination of criminal intelligence.
  • Complying with State and Federal Law governing the dissemination of criminal history information.
