About The Position

The Senior Credit Risk Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia plays a crucial role in supervising and regulating banks and financial institutions within the Third District. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related work experience required.
  • 5-8 years of industry experience in credit risk management, commercial lending, or related fields.
  • Regulatory experience (commissioned examiner preferred).
  • Ability to assess commercial credit risk and credit risk management practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial and industrial or commercial real estate lending.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and manage the assessment of asset quality and credit risk management practices at community and regional banks.
  • Serve as a member of a team of examiners assigned to the examination of financial institutions.
  • Document observations, findings, and conclusions from meetings with bank management and review of credit risk management reports.
  • Serve as a Credit Risk Specialist (CRS) or Asset Quality Manager (AQM) during examinations.
  • Independently assess the appropriateness of loan risk ratings and adherence to supervisory guidance.
  • Prepare well-supported examination reports reflecting advanced critical thinking.
  • Participate in meetings with bank management or boards of directors regarding complex issues.
  • Prepare and present materials for staff training and outreach in area of expertise.
  • Mentor and coach staff, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry developments and banking regulations.
