About The Position

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing credit and financial data of medium-to-complex commercial borrowers. This role involves evaluating the creditworthiness of current and potential borrowers and producing comprehensive credit analyses to assist management in loan decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or relevant work experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years of previous Commercial Credit Analyst experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to work on the Bank's largest and most complicated credit requests.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and financial statement spreading software.
• Strong personal organization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Analytical experience with Commercial & Industrial Loans and Commercial Real Estate loans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare objective, written analyses of moderate to complex lending relationships for loan officers and senior management.
• Conduct complex numerical analyses, including financial statement spreads.
• Recognize and assess pertinent risks affecting borrowers' ability to meet obligations.
• Make recommendations to Loan Officers and the Executive Committee regarding approval or denial and credit risk rating.
• Analyze financial statements and cash flow of moderately complex borrowers and guarantors to determine profitability, capital adequacy, liquidity, and asset quality.
• Understand and remain current on bank credit policies, identifying policy exceptions during loan underwriting.
• Evaluate the appropriateness of proposed loan structures on new deals.
• Perform outside research on industries, real estate records, borrowers, and guarantors as necessary.
• Monitor loan covenant compliance on existing loan relationships.
• Gather and assimilate appropriate data for credit analyses and determine the need for additional information requests.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Assist in training and development of less-experienced staff and new analysts.
