About The Position

Senior Credit Analysts have a strong background in finance and risk assessment, as they are key players in deciding the level of risk the bank is taking when extending credit. They will be expected to evaluate a customer’s credit background, work with appraisers, support loan officers with analysis, and other tasks that supplement the lending division and bank.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics required.
  • Three to five years of related experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with high emotional intelligence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present financial and credit analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong critical thinking and a commitment for continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload, manage multiple deadlines, and delegate tasks when appropriate.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and financial spreading or credit analysis software skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced financial statement analyses, tax return spreading and analysis, and cash flow modeling to support lending decisions.
  • Prepare and author credit memorandums supporting loan structure, risk assessment, and credit recommendations.
  • Perform real estate property evaluations.
  • Support appraisal processes, including coordinating with appraisers, drafting engagement letters, and ordering appraisals to meet required timelines.
  • Support loan portfolio monitoring, including tracking and resolving loan tickler expectations.
  • Assist with preparation of problem loan reports and asset improvement plans.
  • Support construction loan administration and monitoring.
  • Assist loan officers with file management to adhere to legal, regulatory and industry standards for audits, reviews, and exams.
  • Coordinate loan documentation imaging and file maintenance with the Loan Center.
  • Perform quarterly OREO and impaired assets (FAS 114) value confirmations.
  • Support Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) data preparation and maintenance.
  • Participate in community and professional organizations to support the Bank’s community presence.
  • Satisfactorily complete all required compliance bank training and comply with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
