Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in one (or more) of the following: an investment or lending role at a bank, fund or fintech
  • The broader your experience with SME or SMB lending in the US, the better
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reporting presented by companies (e.g. management accounts, financial models, statutory accounts)
  • Comfort leading regular internal and external (client-facing) meetings and presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/ACCA/CFA/CIMA qualification
  • Knowledge of SQL

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the financial and non-financial data of new and existing customers across a range of sectors to build a clear understanding of their business model, growth trajectory and funding needs
  • Identify and assess the risks involved in funding a variety of business types
  • Support and help coordinate regular calls with customers to deepen our understanding of their operations, financial performance and future plans
  • Work closely with management to design and implement new processes, tools and frameworks that enable us to lend effectively across different industries
  • Collaborate with our sales and operations teams to understand how customers are acquired and onboarded, and how we build long-term funding relationships
  • Learn about our loan portfolio and risk management approach, including how we monitor performance, detect early warning signals and exit high-risk positions
  • Work cross-functionally with product, data, engineering and commercial teams on high-impact projects that shape how we underwrite, fund and support businesses globally
