About The Position

The Senior Course Coordinator for Economics at UT Austin supports efforts to ensure fidelity of implementation of the OnRamps Economics courses. This role coordinates high-level instructional and professional development service and support to OnRamps Instructors, Students, and UT Faculty. The position requires up to 5% travel throughout Texas and may involve working weekends and evenings to support course implementation during professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics or closely related field.
• Three years of teaching experience at a High School or college level.
• Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences.
• Demonstrated understanding of High School teaching and learning in Math courses.

Nice To Haves

• Doctoral degree in Mathematics or closely related field.
• Two years of teaching experience.
• Proficient at managing large projects using data or project management software.
• Experience developing and delivering professional development initiatives for high school teachers.
• Experience developing and maintaining online professional learning communities.

Responsibilities

• Provides 1:1 instructional, professional development, and technical service and support to OnRamps Instructors.
• Develops and implements annual professional learning institutes during Summer, Fall, and Spring for OnRamps instructors.
• Cultivates and leads a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors through ongoing professional development activities.
• Develops and oversees systems to monitor curriculum implementation to ensure fidelity to college-aligned content.
• Provides feedback to students and observes student engagement.
• Ensures grading mechanisms approved by the Instructor of Record are executed with fidelity.
• Utilizes data to guide professional learning, instructor and student support, and daily workflows.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provides exceptional customer service and technical support.
• Supports and engages in designated special projects that align with OnRamps' mission.
