About The Position

This position services the legal needs of BJC Health System and its affiliated entities under the direction of senior legal management leadership. This position would be responsible to analyze legal issues and risks and provide legal guidance by conferring with clients, reviewing and drafting memorandum, and/or other documents, including contracts, to maximize protection of the organization's assets and interest. The role provides a comprehensive range of legal services and legal advice to BJC Hospitals and Service Organizations, with particular emphasis on corporate governance, transactional matters, and contracting within the academic medical center. The position requires expertise in the formulation and development of new policies and revision of existing policies, as well as providing expertise and advice in the implementation and application of policies. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to effectively manage a workload that is large, diverse, and complex with minimal direct supervision or direction. Exceptional legal knowledge and excellent written and communication skills are essential. Responsibilities also include conducting legal research and due diligence related to transactional matters, assisting in preparing board and committee materials, resolutions, and corporate filings, monitoring developments in corporate governance, supporting compliance efforts, and performing other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of applicable experience.
  • Doctorate Degree - Jurisprudence.
