Senior COTS Integrator
About The Position
SITEC is seeking a skilled and motivated Performance Monitoring / Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building and enhancing performance-monitoring solutions for complex systems in a secure environment. In this role, you will help develop and maintain automated performance-checking solutions, support system instrumentation efforts, and build software that captures and visualizes performance metrics across multiple environments. You will work with technologies such as Jenkins, REST APIs, Elastic Stack, OpenTelemetry, and secure enterprise infrastructure to improve visibility into system performance and reliability. We are looking for someone who is technically strong, collaborative, and excited to work alongside a team dedicated to building high-impact solutions. What You'll Do Support the development of performance-monitoring solutions for complex systems Leverage Jenkins automated execution architecture to support automated performance checks Instrument various environments to capture and analyze performance metrics Build software solutions using REST APIs to automate metric collection Store and analyze performance data using the Elastic Stack Develop dashboards and visualizations to help teams understand system performance Integrate open source and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products within a secure environment Work in environments utilizing PKI-based authentication, corporate authorization services, firewalls, and SSL/TLS communications Collaborate with technical teams to improve application, endpoint, operating system, and network performance monitoring
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Twelve (12) years of experience in software development or software engineering
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline
- An additional four (4) years of software development experience may be substituted for a degree
- Experience with Elastic Stack , including: Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana Elastic Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
- Experience installing, updating, and maintaining multiple Elastic Stack environments
- Experience creating and modifying Logstash pipelines
- Experience creating and modifying Kibana visualizations
- Experience instrumenting systems with Elastic Agent and Elastic APM Agent
- Experience with OpenTelemetry (OTEL) and OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP)
- Experience with Python and/or Vega
- Familiarity with web application technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, web servers, and application servers
- Proficiency with UNIX commands
- Proficiency in Windows

- Experience with the MicroFocus Business Service Management (BSM) tool suite, including: MicroFocus SiteScope MicroFocus Operations Manager i (OMi)
- Experience with AWS Cloud
- Experience with NiFi
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience with Selenium
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform
- System administration background
