About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cost Estimator (Remote). In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing precise cost estimates for capital projects. Your expertise will not only support the project scopes but also enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of cost management strategies. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will utilize advanced estimating tools, ensuring that projects are financially viable and executed within budget. Your contributions will also involve training others and refining the estimating processes, which is vital for maintaining high standards in project delivery.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of cost estimating experience for design & construction.
Experience estimating construction projects for energy utilities or civil projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of AACE Cost Engineering Practices and TCM framework.
Bachelorâs/Masterâs Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or related fields.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Enterprise Estimating Systems like Sage is a plus.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Lean & Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project sponsors/stakeholders to understand project scope.
Utilize parametric estimating tools to create estimates in line with AACE standards.
Generate assembly-level cost estimates based on detailed project designs.
Identify improvements for estimating tools to enhance usability for project management.
Update cost data using estimates vs actuals comparisons.
Revise existing cost data for improving enterprise estimating systems.
Coordinate estimates to prevent duplication and improve ownership.
Train estimators and assist in developing standard work instructions.
Utilize estimating software for cost estimates and QAQC processes.
Attend client and company meetings as needed.
